- Limit 15 participants
- Please pre-register to reserve your spot at:

www.WildWomanWellness.Center/Pre-Registration

Together, we are reclaiming our power and learning to love ourselves and each other.

Red Tent gatherings can be many things, but initially, we simply want a safe space to share stories, hopes, fears, and desires that don't often have a place in general society. Red tents are for coming together over good food, good conversation, and good intentions. We will talk, share stories of joy, success, and heartache, sing songs, ask for help or prayers, or whatever else we feel is needed or called to. We typically open circles with a saging and a short guided meditation, followed by sharing and pulling Goddess Cards.

All are welcome to join in discussions, but please also feel welcome to come and sit quietly - meditate, create art, or simply enjoy a bowl of nourishing soup and a cup of tea in the presence of other women. Come when you can and leave when you need to.

The only rule we must all follow is to show respect for one another's differences of opinion and confidentiality.

Red Tents are held on the full and new moons each month. We greatly look forward to meeting you!

Tai Chi

Join us for a Monday afternoon Tai Chi class at Wild Woman Wellness Center with Marcia Wyman. There is no experience necessary and this class is open to both women and men. It is appropriate for adults of all ages, but especially beneficial for Seniors. Tai Chi has been shown to benefit and improve flexibility, strength, posture, balance, fall prevention, cognition, concentration, focus and clarity.

$6 per class or $20 for 4 weeks.

This is an ongoing program (except for holidays)
Please email WildWomanWellnessCenter@gmail.com for more information.

What is Tai Chi?
Tai chi is a moving meditation that was created 2,500 years ago. It is based on observations of nature. The moves imitate the movements of thewind, the animals, and the cycle of the seasons.

Tai chi has been studied for more than 30 years by scientists who have concluded that the art form is the best form of non-jarring exercise.

Some of Tai Chi’s Benefits Include...
Balance: Participants focus on sinking symbolically, their roots into the ground. Warm-ups strengthen the legs, feet, and even the toes for better awareness and gripping power. The slow gentle rocking motion allows the “monkey mind” to be conscious of subtle shifts in posture.

Flexibility: The moves are slow and graceful, allowing the body to adjust to more movement. The adaptation comes about slowly and is non-abusive to the body. Neurological connections slow down and are more complete and solid through use of the form.

Strength: An hour of slow moving is much more effective that an hour of jumping around or moving weights to a beat. Tai chi works according to your own ability, which makes it safe and user friendly.
Each person grows and matures to their own level and at their own pace. Such a progress allows the body to say, “Okay, I’m ready for more strength, more flexibility, more balance,” versus forcing the growth.

Instructor Marcia Wyman's Story:
I have experienced the recuperative benefits of tai chi. In 2010, I had a stroke due to business and personal pressure. The stroke paralyzed my entire left side. The tai chi instructor suggested that I continue with my lessons. Though I was frustrated, angry, and skeptical, I found that within six months, my body began developing new neurological connects that bypassed the damage of the stroke. I continued taking classes weekly. The total recovery time, for both the body and the mind, was five years. I am living proof that tai chi works.

How Does Tai Chi Work?
Neurological connections are reenforced, and the body adapts according to its own healing timeline. There are no sudden moves to jar the body nor prolonged repetitive moves that might injure the body. Tai chi is not an overnight success. However it has been used to heal, maintain, and improve whole body wellbeing for more than 2,500 years; it must provide relief on some level.

Daily, in the parks in China, people join groups of tai chi practitioners in order to improve, maintain, or boost their immune systems. Using their own life-force energy, participants move their bodies and their minds gracefully, slowly, and serenely, interweaving effective postures that have shown to benefit both mind and spirit.

Healing the Mother Wound
Jan

Healing the Mother Wound

This event will be lead by Amber and Carolyn.

If you feel uncomfortable RSVP'ing on Facebook, but wish to receive updates and reminders on this workshop through email please contact us at wildwomanwellnesscenter@gmail.com and we will make sure to keep you updated! There is a suggested $15 donation to attend this workshop.

The mother wound is the pain of being a woman passed down through generations of women. It includes the dysfunctional coping mechanisms that are used to process that pain.

The mother wound can manifest as:
Not being your full self because you don’t want to threaten others
Having a high tolerance for poor treatment from others
Emotional care-taking
Feeling competitive with other women
Self-sabotage
Being overly rigid and dominating
Conditions such as eating disorders, depression and addictions

The cultural atmosphere of female oppression puts daughters in a "double bind."
Simply put, if a daughter internalizes her mother’s unconscious beliefs (which is some subtle form of “I’m not good enough”) then she has her mother’s approval but has in some way betrayed herself and her potential.
However, if she doesn't internalize her mother’s unconscious beliefs in her own limitations but rather affirms her own power and potential, she is aware that her mother may unconsciously see this as a personal rejection.
The daughter doesn’t want to risk losing her mother’s love and approval, so internalizing these limiting, unconscious beliefs is a form of loyalty and emotional survival for the daughter.
It may feel dangerous for a woman to actualize her full potential because it may mean risking some form of rejection by her mother.

The above description (taken from http://www.womboflight.com/why-its-crucial-for-women-to-heal-the-mother-wound/) is just one of many ways the mother-wound can manifest. There may be those among you who can identify a different source to an equally painful situation.

We will discuss some of the most common causes of strife between mothers and their children, the ways these affect adult children through their life, and ways to heal this wound to discontinue its passage through your family.

There will be a large portion of time allotted for open discussion throughout the workshop.

This workshop is open to all genders, ages 15+

New Moon Red Tent

Tent starts at 630 pm ♥

Celebrate the new moon AND the new year!

We gather on each New and Full Moon to come into circle and be held in love. Together we enjoy connection, community and nourishing snacks and teas. We are each able to be seen, heard, supported and understood. This is a nurturing time to just BE... we meditate, share if we feel called, pull Goddess cards and celebrate Sisterhood. Moon gatherings are a judgment free, safe time to heal, be vulnerable and release all that no longer serves you in order to be uplifted, re-energized and renewed. This event is open to all women over the age of 15, and nurslings and babes in arms are welcome to join. The setting is relaxed, you are welcome to come when you can and leave when you need to. Topics are shared in advance on the Red Tent Central NH Facebook Group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RedTentNH/

Meditation will start promptly around 7. Late arrivals are always welcome. We will leave extra seats open just in case, and invite you to enter quietly and join us whenever you are able.

Suggested donation of $15
